The 230-foot masterpiece adorns the new Saiya Apartment Building |
Local mural artist Leila Parnian has reached new heights with her latest creation—a stunning 230-foot-tall mural that now graces the soon-to-open Saiya Apartment Building in downtown Phoenix.
Located near 1st Avenue and McKinley Street, this vibrant artwork sets a new record as the tallest mural in Arizona.
Parnian, known for her multifaceted artistic talents, embarked on this ambitious project by freehanding the design from the top down.
Suspended on a swing stage—a metal platform powered by dual motors and steel cables—she meticulously brought her vision to life over the course of two months.
Assisted by two dedicated team members, they braved the intense Phoenix heat and even a monsoon to complete the piece.
Parnian hopes the mural's bright and bold colors will energize passersby.
“I just want people to dream bigger,” she expressed, aiming for the artwork to serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration for all.
Beyond murals, Parnian's creativity spans furniture design, art instruction, and DJing, making her a dynamic force in Phoenix's art scene.
Her latest work not only enhances the city's skyline but also embodies the vibrant spirit of the community. |
